L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt) (AA2P) is a stable VC(vitamin C) derivative[1]. It can stimulate the expression and formation of collagen[2].

L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt) (100-500μM; 24 h) attenuates MeHg-induced apoptosis by alleviating ROS-mediated DNA damage in SH-SY5Y cell [3]. L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt) (0.25-1mM) repressed dihydrotestosterone (DHT)-induced DHT-inducible dickkopf-1 (DKK-1) protein expression[4]. L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt) (250μM; 5-60min) co-treatment with FGF-2 induced optimal proliferation of Human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSC) and increased the accumulation rate of BMSC numbers during a 2-month culture period[5]. IGF-1 mRNA in Dermal papilla (DP) cells was upregulated and IGF-1 protein in the conditioned medium of DP cells was significantly increased after treatment with L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt), L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt)-inducible IGF-1 from DP cells promotes proliferation of follicular keratinocytes and stimulates hair follicle growth in vitro via PI3K[6].

L-Ascorbic Acid 2-phosphate (magnesium salt)  regulate mesenchymal–epithelial interactions in the hair follicle and promote hair growth in mice models[7].
