ASR-490 يقلل نشاط خلايا HCT116 و SW620 عن طريق تخفيض انتقال إشارة Notch1. يتغلب ASR-490 على التعبير المفرط لـ Notch1 ويثبط نمو الأورام في HCT/Notch1 transfectants. كما أنه يثبط نمو الأورام في فئران زرعت بخلايا سرطانية من مجموعات pCMV/HCT116 و Notch1/HCT116.
