tetranor-Misoprostol-d5 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of tetranor-misoprostol by GC- or LC-MS. tetranor-Misoprostol is a metabolite of misoprostol .1 It is formed when misoprostol undergoes rapid de-esterification to form misoprostol (free acid) , which is further metabolized to form the more polar tetranor-misoprostol in rats, dogs, and monkeys.
