Products are for research use only. Not for human use. We do not sell to patients.
Sample solution is provided at 25 µL, 10mM.
CY2-Curcumin is a fluorescently labeled compound that combines the green fluorescent dye CV2 with curcumin. Curcumin is a polyphenolic compound extracted from turmeric, which has multiple biological activities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer. CY2 is a green fluorescent dye with a maximum absorption wavelength of 485 nm and an emission wavelength of 505 nm, suitable for fluorescence microscopy imaging and flow cytometry.
Product Features
High fluorescence intensity: CY2 has a high fluorescence quantum yield and can be clearly imaged under a fluorescence microscope.
Stability: CY2-Curcumin is stable under physiological conditions and suitable for long-term storage and use.
Versatility: It can be used for a variety of applications such as cell labeling, drug delivery system development and bioimaging.
Application Areas
Cell Labeling and Imaging: Used to label metabolic pathways in cells and observe the distribution and dynamic changes of curcumin in cells by fluorescence microscopy.
Drug Delivery Research: As a fluorescent labeling component of drug carriers, it is used to monitor the cellular uptake and tissue distribution of drug delivery systems.
Bioimaging: used for live cell imaging to observe the metabolism and transport process of curcumin in cells.
Drug mechanism research: through fluorescently labeled curcumin, study its mechanism of action in cells, including its regulatory effects on oxidative stress and inflammatory response.
CY2-Curcumin combines the biological activity of curcumin with the fluorescence properties of CY2, providing a powerful tool for drug delivery research and biomedical imaging. Its high fluorescence intensity and biological activity make it have important application value in the fields of cell labeling, drug mechanism research and bioimaging.
Synthesis method
Activated curcumin: The hydroxyl groups of curcumin can be activated by reacting with NHS esters.
Coupling reaction: The NHS ester of CY2 reacts with activated curcumin in an appropriate buffer (e.g., 0.1 M sodium bicarbonate buffer, pH 8.0).
Reaction conditions: React at room temperature for 2-4 hours, protected from light.
Purification: Remove unreacted CY2 by dialysis or gel filtration (e.g., Sephadex G-25 column) to obtain high-purity CY2-Curcumin.
Characterization: Confirm the structure and fluorescence properties of the product by mass spectrometry (MS) and fluorescence spectroscopy.
Storage and usage recommendations
Storage conditions: CY2-Curcumin should be stored at -20℃ away from light and avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Usage concentration: Depending on the experimental requirements, the concentration used is usually 10-100 nM.
Precautions: During use, pay attention to light-proof operation to prevent fluorescence quenching.

General tips | Please select the appropriate solvent to prepare the stock solution according to the
solubility of the product in different solvents; once the solution is prepared, please store it in
separate packages to avoid product failure caused by repeated freezing and thawing.Storage method
and period of the stock solution: When stored at -80°C, please use it within 6 months; when stored
at -20°C, please use it within 1 month. To increase solubility, heat the tube to 37°C and then oscillate in an ultrasonic bath for some time. |

Method for preparing DMSO master liquid: mg drug pre-dissolved in μL DMSO ( Master liquid concentration mg/mL, Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug. )
Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next addμL PEG300, mix and clarify, next addμL Tween 80, mix and clarify, next add μL ddH2O, mix and clarify.
Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next add μL Corn oil, mix and clarify.
Note: 1. Please make sure the liquid is clear before adding the next solvent.
2. Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order. You must ensure that the solution obtained, in the previous addition, is a clear solution before proceeding to add the next solvent. Physical methods such as vortex, ultrasound or hot water bath can be used to aid dissolving.
3. All of the above co-solvents are available for purchase on the GlpBio website.
