IDR 1002 is a synthetic cationic innate defense regulator peptide.1 It increases the production of chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), CCL7, and chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1) in isolated human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) when used at a concentration of 100 µg/ml. IDR 1002 (200 µg/animal) increases the numbers of neutrophils and monocytes in mouse peritoneum and protects against S. aureus and E. coli infections in mice.
