2,3-DCPEは、正常な人間細胞に対してがん細胞を選択的に攻撃するプロアポトーシス化合物です。様々ながん細胞株(IC50=0.89〜2.69µM)でin vitroでアポトーシスを誘導し、正常なヒト線維芽細胞(IC50=12.6µM)よりも効果的です。 2,3-DCPEはBcl-xLの発現を低下させますが、Bcl-xLの強制的な過剰発現は2,3-DCPEによるアポトーシス誘導を阻止することが十分です[1]。 2,3-DCPEはS期停止を引き起こし、p21の上昇およびERKの活性化を促進することができます[2]。 参考文献: [1].
