2,5-ジヒドロキシシンナム酸フェネチルエステルは、サルコエンドプラズミックレチクラーゼカルシウムATPアーゼ(SERCA)阻害剤タプシガルギンに刺激された好中球からの5-リポキシゲナーゼ(5-LO)生成物合成の抑制に対するIC50値が0.33μMである。1細胞外試験では、2,2-ジフェニル-1-ピクリルヒドラジール(DPPH)ラジカルを除去する能力があり、IC50値は16.41μMである。 2,5-ジヒドロキシシンナム酸フェネチルエステルは、Von Hippel-Lindau(VHL)腫瘍抑制遺伝子を欠くRCC4および786-O細胞の生存率を選択的に低下させます(それぞれのIC50値は8および34.8μM)。ただし、VHLを同型発現している細胞では生存率も低下します(それぞれのIC50値は99.6および>100μM)。また、RCC10 VHL - / -およびRCC10 VHL + / +細胞の生存率も低下します(それぞれのIC50値は5.04および0.96μM)。2,5-ジヒドロキシシンナム酸フェネチルエステルは、濃度依存的にRCC4 VHL - / -細胞中のプロカスパーゼ-3a、LC3B-I、およびLC3B-IIレベルを増加させます。
