2',2'-ジフルオロ-2'-デオキシウリジンは、抗がん核酸アナログであるジェムシタビンの有効な代謝物質です。1 肝臓においてシチジンデアミナーゼによるジェムシタビンの脱アミノ化によって形成されます。 2'、2'-Difluoro-2'-deoxyuridineは、HepG2およびA549癌細胞(IC50s =それぞれ3.13および3.92μM)に対して細胞毒性を示します。濃度が10〜100μMの範囲で使用された場合、ECV304およびNCI H292細胞の放射線誘発細胞死を増強します。2
