Adamantyl substitutions provide structural rigidity and bulk. Though no biological activity has been reported for JWH 018 adamantyl analog, Δ8-THC analogs with adamantyl substituted for the carbon side chain demonstrate improved affinity and selectivity of central cannabinoid and peripheral cannabinoid receptor binding. This synthetic cannabinoid has been identified in a herbal product.
