C8 Ceramide (d18:1.8:0)은 자연적으로 발생하는 세라마이드의 세포내 침투 가능한 아날로그입니다. C2 ceramide과 달리, 세포 내에서 대사되어 천연 세라마이드를 생성하며 종종 세포 내 세라마이드 수준을 급격하게 증가시킵니다. 이러한 이유로 C8 ceramide (d18:1.8:0)으로 세포를 처리하는 것은 짧은 사슬의 ceramide 아날로그로 처리하는 것보다 보다 자연스러운 ceramide 상승 효과를 더 가깝게 모방할 수 있습니다.
