(S)-Laudanosine is also an alkaloid that has been found in the prickly poppy A. platyceras. It inhibits prolyl endopeptidase with an IC50 value of 341 μM. (S)-Laudanosine (100 μM) inhibits both arachidonic acid- and collagen-induced aggregation in washed rabbit platelets.
