CMSA Protein (Cynomolgus Monkey Serum Albumin) is a plasma protein derived from cynomolgus monkeys. It is highly homologous to HSA and has an extremely high sequence similarity. CMSA Protein mainly regulates blood osmotic pressure and binds or transports hormones, metals, and active compounds.
In Vitro, CMSA Protein can act as a homologous albumin ligand of FabA (antibody against HSA nanobody fused rabbit Fab), and is used to simulate the situation of "the formation of a complex between FabA and endogenous/exogenous albumin in non-human primate eyes" in vitro[1].
