Descripción (Description)

Nonanoyl-CoA sodium (Pelargonoyl-CoA sodium; S-Nonanoate coenzyme A sodium; Nonanoyl-coenzyme A sodium) is a medium-chain fatty acyl-CoA and serves as a substrate of ACOT9. Nonanoyl-CoA sodium can be hydrolyzed by ACOT9 to release free nonanoic acid and coenzyme A [1].

In Vitro, Recombinant mouse ACOT9 exhibits lower catalytic efficiency in hydrolyzing Nonanoyl-CoA sodium compared to shorter and longer straight-chain saturated acyl-CoA substrates[1].
