3-Oxo-C8-HSL (N-(3-Oxooctanoyl)-l-homoserine lactone) is an autoinducer pheromone. 3-Oxo-C8-HSL is a TraR-regulated promoter. 3-Oxo-C8-HSL significantly stimulates tra gene expression [1].
