Copeptin (human) acetate is a peptide biochemical reagent corresponding to the 39 amino acid sequence at the C-terminus of human pre-provasopressin, which serves as a stable surrogate biomarker reflecting the secretion of arginine vasopressin ( AVP ). Copeptin (human) acetate can be used in studies related to AVP secretion, fluid and osmotic homeostasis, stress responses, and cardiovascular biomarkers [1] [2] [3].
In Vitro, Copeptin (human) (1-100 nM) acetate has no effect on the basal tone and spontaneous myogenic contractions of human proximal or distal gastric circular muscle; it has no effect on the basal tone and spontaneous myogenic contractions of isolated distal gastric tissues from mice; and it has no effect on the tension of isolated mouse aortas pre-contracted to submaximal levels[2].
