L-797591 hydrochloride is a selective sst 1 agonist. L-797591 hydrochloride mimicks the effects of SRIF-14 and SRIF-28 by potently inhibiting either Forskolin -stimulated or CRH-stimulated cAMP accumulation [1].
In Vitro, L-797591 (10-7 M) hydrochloride inhibits Forskolin-stimulated cAMP accumulation in cortical neuron monolayers[1]. L-797591 (1 μM; 1 h) hydrochloride inhibits CRH-stimulated cAMP accumulation in E17-18 cortical neurons[1].
