Cas No.: 24307-26-4
Sample solution is provided at 25 µL, 10mM.
Mepiquat chloride (N,N-Dimethylpiperidinium chloride) is a systemic plant growth regulator. Mepiquat chloride reduces the activity of RuBP carboxylase. Mepiquat chloride decreases plant height, total length of vegetative and fruiting branches, and total leaf area of cotton. Mepiquat chloride reduces the net photosynthetic rate of cotton leaves. Mepiquat chloride promotes starch accumulation in cotton leaves without altering sucrose content[1].
Mepiquat chloride (active ingredient 7.65-61.2 g ha-1) can reduce the plant height, stem elongation, branch length, leaf area, net photosynthetic rate and RuBP carboxylase activity of Gossypium hirsutum L. cv. DES 119 cotton plants, increase chlorophyll (based on leaf area) and starch content, and does not change sucrose content; the highest concentration tested (61.2 g active ingredient ha-1) can reduce the stem elongation rate by 50% compared with the control, and reduce the net photosynthetic rate and RuBP carboxylase activity by 25% compared with the control[1].

Working concentration: mg/ml;
Method for preparing DMSO master liquid: mg drug pre-dissolved in μL DMSO ( Master liquid concentration mg/mL, Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug. )
Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next addμL PEG300, mix and clarify, next addμL Tween 80, mix and clarify, next add μL saline, mix and clarify.
Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next add μL Corn oil, mix and clarify.
Note: 1. Please make sure the liquid is clear before adding the next solvent.
2. Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order. You must ensure that the solution obtained, in the previous addition, is a clear solution before proceeding to add the next solvent. Physical methods such as vortex, ultrasound or hot water bath can be used to aid dissolving.
3. All of the above co-solvents are available for purchase on the GlpBio website.
