Regaloside A, a phenylpropanoid, shows significant DPPH radical scavenging activity of 58.0% at 160 ppm. Regaloside A has anti-inflammatory activity.
Regaloside A (50 渭g/mL; 2 hours) inhibits the expression of iNOS to 70.3 decreasing COX-2 expression to 131.6 in Raw 264.7 cells treated with LPS (1 渭g/ml; pretreatment for 15 min). Regaloside A decreases the ratio of p-p65/p-65 to 40.7[1].
Regaloside A (50 渭g/mL; pretreatment for 2 hours) decreases the expression of VCAM-1 to 48.6 in HASMCs with TNF-a (10 ng/ml; for 12 h)[1].
