Fmoc-Glu(OtBu)-OH is a glutamate derivative which protected by Fmoc at the α-amino group and by OtBu at the side chain, and is commonly used in solid-phase peptide synthesis. The protecting group of Fmoc-Glu(OtBu)-OH can suppress racemisation during activation and coupling, reduce the formation of by-products, and obtain the target peptide through a series of deprotection reactions, which is suitable for the preparation of active peptides containing glutamate [1].
