Tuberculosis inhibitor 1 is a potent and non-cytotoxic trypanosoma brucei growth inhibitor with an EC50 of 5 nM[1]. EC50: 5 nM (Trypanosoma brucei)[1]

Tuberculosis inhibitor 1 is selective over other parasites, such as Trypanosoma cruzi and Plasmodium falciparum (T. cruzi EC50 8120 nM, P. falciparum EC50 3624 nM)[1].
