BTA-1 _b (BTA-1-CH3) is a structural analog of BTA-1. BTA-1 is an uncharged derivative of Thioflavin-T. It exhibits high affinity for Aβ fibrils and demonstrates excellent brain penetration and clearance capabilities.
In Vitro, Structural analogs are frequently used as control compounds to distinguish whether the biological effects of a target molecule are mediated by specific target binding or by non-specific physicochemical properties.
