Clanobutin is an orally active pharmaceutically acceptable N-acylanilinobutyric acid compound. Clanobutin increases gastrointestinal enzyme secretion. Clanobutin tonicizes the cardiovascular system, increases internal organ blood circulation, and boosts heart force. Clanobutin suppresses stomach ulcer formation and exhibits anti-hepatotoxic activity [1].
In Vivo, Clanobutin (0.01-1 mg/kg; p.o.) suppresses Acetylsalicylic acid ‑induced gastric ulcer formation[1]. Clanobutin (p.o) reduces serum GOT and GPT levels in allyl alcohol/galactosamine‑induced liver injury and exerts anti‑hepatotoxic effects[1]. Clanobutin (i.v.) enhances left ventricular systolic pressure and pressure rise rate, increasing cardiac contractility[1].
