Description

OV329 hydrochloride is a potent GABA aminotransferase inactivator. OV329 hydrochloride is a Vigabatrin analogue. OV329 hydrochloride can increase brain GABA levels and block abnormal intracerebral hyperexcitability. OV329 hydrochloride exhibits anticonvulsant and antiepileptic activities. OV329 hydrochloride can be used for the research of neurological disease, such as seizure [1].

In Vivo, OV329 hydrochloride (5-40 mg/kg, i.p.) shows anticonvulsant effect in pentylenetetrazole-induced seizuring rats[1]. OV329 hydrochloride (30-40 mg/kg, i.p.) increases the afterdischarge threshold in amygdala-kindled rats[1].
