Rexaceract (Rexaceractum) is a heteroaryl compound that binds to β-glucocerebrosidase. Rexaceract maintains the conformational stability of β-glucocerebrosidase and exhibits activating activity. Rexaceract can be used in the research of nervous system-related diseases such as neurodegenerative diseases with Parkinsonism, epilepsy, and schizophrenia [1].
In Vitro, Rexaceract (Example 71) (6-50 μM; 4-day incubation) binds allosterically to β-glucocerebrosidase in human fibroblasts carrying the L444P mutation, increasing the enzyme activity by 1.2- to 1.7-fold[1].\n
