Pulchinenoside J is a lupane-type triterpenoid saponin and a complement system inhibitor that acts via the classical pathway. Pulchinenoside J can be isolated from the roots of Pulsatilla chinensis [1].
In Vitro, Pulchinenoside J (compound 4) (292.5 μM; 10 min) inhibits complement activation through the classical pathway in vitro using guinea pig serum and sensitized sheep erythrocytes, with a CP50 of 292.5 μM[1].
