TAU-IN-6 (Compound 13) is a Tau protein misfolding and aggregation inhibitor. TAU-IN-6 inhibits stress granules composed of tau and TIA1. TAU-IN-6 is applicable for Alzheimer's disease research [1].
In Vitro, TAU-IN-6 inhibits arsenite-induced tau/TIA1 stress granules in SH-SY5Y-tT1 cells with an IC50 of less than 1000 nM[1]. TAU-IN-6 inhibits thapsigargin-induced tau/TIA1 stress granules in SH-SY5Y-tT1 cells, with an IC50 of less than 500 nM[1].
