Ceramide 3B

Ceramide 3B is a ceramide 3 lipid class with aggregation behavior ^[1]. Ceramide 3B acts as a penetration enhancer and auxiliary emulsifier, playing an important role in barrier function stability^[2]. Ceramide 3B can be used as a reference for the development of a new liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the analysis of related compounds in cosmetic raw materials^[3]. Ceramide 3B can be used as a model compound to investigate the relative contribution of chain packing and hydrogen bonding under physiological conditions^[4].
