Jagged-1 (188-204) TFA is a fragment of the Jagged-1 (JAG-1) protein, an agonist of the neurogenic site Notch homologous protein 1 (Notch1).
Products are for research use only. Not for human use. We do not sell to patients.
Sample solution is provided at 25 µL, 10mM.
Jagged-1 (188-204) TFA is a fragment of the Jagged-1 (JAG-1) protein, an agonist of the neurogenic site Notch homologous protein 1 (Notch1)[1]. Jagged-1 is a Notch ligand that is highly expressed in cultured and primary multiple myeloma (MM) cells[2]. Jagged-1-mediated Notch activation can induce full maturation of human keratinocytes[3]. Jagged-1-mediated Notch activation can promote the differentiation of human limbal epithelial cells[4].
In vitro, treatment of human keratinocytes (KC) with Jagged-1 (188-204) TFA (40μM) for 72h induced the expression of loricrin and involucrin, and induced the cellular redistribution of Notch1, 3, and 4[3]. Jagged-1 (188-204) TFA (50μM) treatment of human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMC) for 0-60min enhanced store-operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE) in the cells[5].

Cell lines | Human pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells (PASMC) |
Preparation Method | In human PASMCs, 10μM cyclopiazonic acid (CPA) was used to passively deplete Ca2+ from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) to induce store-operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE). Cells were treated with 50μM Jagged-1 (188-204) TFA for 0, 5, 10, 30, and 60min, and changes in cytoplasmic free Ca2+ concentration caused by SOCE were recorded. |
Reaction Conditions | 50μM; 0-60min |
Applications | Short-term treatment with Jagged-1 (188-204) TFA enhances store-operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE) in human pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells (PASMC). |
