Iso cephalomannine is a tubulin -targeting cytotoxic agent. Iso cephalomannine induces cytotoxicity in breast cancer cells. Iso cephalomannine can be used in breast cancer-related research [1].
In Vitro, Iso cephalomannine (compound 1d) exhibits reduced tubulin-binding activity in cell-free microtubule assembly assays, with an ED50 ratio of 1.1 relative to Paclitaxel [1]. Iso cephalomannine exhibits low cytotoxicity against human breast cancer MCF7 cells, with an ED50 ratio of 12 relative to Paclitaxel [1]. Iso cephalomannine shows no detectable cytotoxicity against MCF7-R drug-resistant human breast cancer cells, with an ED50 greater than 5000 nM[1].
