MMAF는 강력한 튜불린 중합 억제제이다. MMAF는 튜불린 중합 과정을 차단해서 세포 내 미세소관 네트워크를 파괴해서 세포 분열을 억제하고 세포 사멸을 유도한다. MMAF는 항종양 약물 및 항체-약물 접합체의 세포 독성 성분으로 사용될 수 있다[3-4].
