Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) is a rat-derived anti-mouse IL-12 p40 IgG2a κ type antibody inhibitor. Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) binds p40 subunit of IL-12. Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) can be used for the researches of inflammation, immunology and metabolic disease, such as diabetes and arthritis [1] [2] [3].
In Vivo, Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) (500 μg, i.p., twice a week during 5-30 weeks) exhibits suppression of both insulitis and diabetes in non-obese diabetic mice models[1]. Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) (200 μg, i.p., for 6 consecutive days) results in the enhancement of diabetes in 2-week-old non-obese diabetic mice models[1]. Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) (0.5 mg, i.p., 2 h before injection of SCW fragments) suppresses murine streptococcal cell wall (SCW)-induced arthritis[2]. Anti-Mouse IL-12 p40 Antibody (C17.8) (0.5 mg, i.p., once a week) prolongs survival in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mice models[3].
In Vitro, The antibody framework is stable, specific and adaptable, and has the ability to bind both antigens and endogenous immune receptors. Monoclonal antibodies have several derivatives, including bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and antibody fragments, and have significant effects in fields such as immunology and oncology. When designing inhibitory antibodies, considerations include identification of antigen-specific variable regions, choice of expression system, use of multispecific formats, and antibody derivatives based on fragmentation, oligomerization, or conjugation with other functional moieties[1].
