Isovalerylcarnitine-d 9 -1 (chloride) is deuterium labeled Isovalerylcarnitine (chloride). Isovalerylcarnitine chloride, a product of the catabolism of L-leucine, is a potent activator of the Ca 2+ -dependent proteinase ( calpain ) of human neutrophils [1] [2].
