lirucitinib is a JAK inhibitor, and has antiinflammatory activity. lirucitinib inhibits various itch- and inflammation-inducing cytokines that depend on JAK1 enzyme activity, as well as allergy-related cytokines. lirucitinib can be used for the study of pruritic skin diseases [1]
In Vitro, Lirucitinib exerts its therapeutic effect by selectively inhibiting JAK1. By blocking the activity of JAK1, Lirucitinib disrupts the downstream signaling of various pro-inflammatory and pruritogenic (itch-inducing) cytokines that are dependent on this enzyme.
