Description

Plipastatin A1 is a lipopeptide that has been found in B. cereus and has enzyme inhibitory and immunosuppressant activities.1 It inhibits phospholipase A2 (PLA2), PLC, and PLD (IC50s = 2.9, 1.3, and 1.4 µM, respectively). Plipastatin A1 (100 µg/ml) inhibits LPS-induced B cell blastogenesis and T cell blastogenesis induced by concanavalin A . In vivo, plipastatin A1 (0.1 mg/animal) inhibits delayed-type persensitivity in mice.
