Nicotinamide - 13 C, 15 N (Niacinamide- 13 C, 15 N) is the 13 C- and 15 N-labeled Nicotinamide. Nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B3 or niacin. Nicotinamide Hydrochloride inhibits SIRT2 activity ( IC50: 2 μM). Nicotinamide also inhibits SIRT1. Nicotinamide increases cellular NAD +, ATP, ROS levels. Nicotinamide inhibits tumor growth and improves survival. Nicotinamide also has anti- HBV activity [1] [2] [3] [4].
In Vitro, Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs.
