ZLDI-8 ist ein Inhibitor des Notch-aktivierenden/spaltenden Enzyms ADAM-17 und hemmt die Spaltung des Notch-Proteins. ZLDI-8 verringert die Expression von Pro-Überlebens-/Anti-Apoptose- und Epithelial-Mesenchymal-Transition (EMT)-verwandten Proteinen. ZLDI-8 ist auch ein kompetitiver und irreversibler Tyrosinphosphatase (Lyp)-Inhibitor mit einem IC50 von 31,6 μM und einem Ki von 26,22 μM. ZLDI-8 hemmt das Wachstum von MHCC97-H-Zellen mit einem IC50 von 5,32 μM.
