Danicamtiv, an inotropic agent, is a selective allosteric activator of cardiac myosin. Danicamtiv increases cardiac systolic function and preserves mechanical efficiency[1]. Clinical studies have demonstrated that danicamtiv significantly increases cardiac systolic function, leading to improved pumping efficiency of the heart. Notably, it also preserves mechanical efficiency, meaning that the heart can generate greater force without expending excessive energy. This dual action helps to optimize cardiac performance while minimizing the risk of adverse effects often associated with traditional inotropic therapies.
