Description of Carbonate (calcium)

Calcium carbonate is a naturally occurring compound that can reduce T4 absorption and increase serum thyroid stimulating hormone levels. It also excluded osteoporosis in postmenopausal women caused by levothyroxine at an inhibitory dose of thyrotropin. In addition, it can also reduce diarrhea in HIV infected patients induced by protease inhibitors.
