(d(CH₂)₅¹,Tyr(Me)²,Orn⁸)-Oxytocin |
Catalog No.GA20059 |
Potent oxytocin antagonist with a pA? value of 7.35 ± 0.08. (d(CH?)?¹,Tyr(Me)²,Orn?)-Vasotocin has been used to support the hypothesis that pituitary secretion of oxytocin is associated with coactivation of centrally projecting brain oxytocin pathways, some of which are causally related to the induced inhibition of food intake. Furthermore, this compound competitively inhibited arginine vasotocin (AVT) contractions without affecting AVT efficacy.
