CTP354 is a deuterated derivative of the GABA_A receptor modulator L-838,417.¹ It binds to the GABA_A receptor benzodiazepine binding site in non-α₁ subunit-containing GABA_A receptors. CTP354 has a longer duration of action than L-838,417 in a rat model of neuropathic pain induced by sciatic nerve ligation.
