Le droloxifène, un dérivé du tamoxifène, est un modulateur des récepteurs aux œstrogènes actif et sélectif par voie orale. Le droloxifène présente des effets anti-œstrogéniques et anti-implantation. Le droloxifène induit l'expression de p53 et l'apoptose dans les cellules MCF-7. Le droloxifène prévient la perte osseuse chez les rats ovariectomisés.
