Description of CRAMP (mouse)

Le CRAMP (mouse) est un peptide antimicrobien apparentée à la cathelicidine exprimée chez les souris embryonnaires et adultes[1]. Les AMPs exercent divers effets immunomodulateurs qui peuvent être dominants dans des conditions physiologiques et perdre leurs propriétés bactéricides dans les environnements sériques et tissulaires [2]. Le CRAMP (mouse) est un antibiotique efficace contre les bactéries à Gram négatif, inhibant la croissance de plusieurs souches bactériennes et augmentant directement la perméabilité de la membrane interne d’Escherichia colis [3]. Les souris dépourvues de CRAMP sont plus sensibles aux infections pneumococciques du système nerveux central, entraînant une charge bactérienne plus élevée dans le cerveau et en dehors du système nerveux central, ainsi qu’une infiltration réduite de neutrophiles et une mortalité accrue [4]. Le CRAMP (mouse) est capable d’améliorer la réponse chimiotactique des cellules souches/progénitrices dérivées de la moelle osseuse (BMSPCs) en réponse à un faible gradient de facteurs dérivé du stroma 1 (SDF-1)[5].
