FzM1.8 deriva de FzM1, es un agonista alostérico de FZD4 con pEC50 de 6,4. FzM1.8 se une a FZD4 y activa la vÍa WNT/β-catenina, al promover la actividad transcripcional de TCF/LEF en ausencia de cualquier ligando WNT. La uniÓn de FzM1.8 estabiliza FZD4 con una mayor afinidad por la proteÍna G heterotrimérica y estimula la liberaciÓn de la subunidad Gβγ que, a su vez, activa PI3K.
