PROTO-1 shows significant protection of hair cells, with HC50(concentration that would produce 50% hair cell survival) of 1 μM-10 μM (1 μM≤HC50≤10 μM).Target:PROTO-1 shows significant protection of hair cells over a broad range of neomycin concentrations, from 25 μM to 400 μM. Pretreatment with 1 and 10 μM PROTO-1 results in significant protection of hair cells exposed to 200 μM neomycin compared to neomycin alone. PROTO-1 protection against neomycin is tested at 4 mM neomycin and showed significant striolar.[2]
