Stigmasterolは天然ステロールであり、Stigmasterolは顕著な抗関節炎および抗炎症作用がある。[1-3]
Stigmasterol(0-100μM;14 h)はグルタミン酸による誘発したHT-22細胞のニューロンの細胞死亡をそがする[4]。Stigmasterol(0-20μM;4 h)はA β 42オリゴマーによって誘発したBV2細胞の炎症反応を軽減できる[5]。
Stigmasterol(400 mg/kg/d;i.g;10日)、治療は鼠のDSS誘導大腸炎を軽減することができる[6]。Stigmastero（100mg/kg；腹腔内注射；21-27日）は鼠モデルの炎症と酸化によるNK1-Rのストレスでぜんそくを抑える[7]。APP/PS1鼠の海馬において、Stigmasterolはミクログリア活性化を阻害し[8]、Stigmasterolはスイスアルビノマウスの皮質におけるTNF-αのレベルを減少することもできる[9]。
