Morusin فلين فلافون مزوَّد بمجموعة برنيل ملحوظ في Morus alba (Moraceae)جذر القشرة، الذي يظهر نشاط مضاد للورم في العلاج لسرطان البروستاتا. الفلافونويدات المبرنلة، هي نوع خاص من الفلافونويدات التي يربط هيكل الفلافونويد وسلسلة جانبية برينيلي محبة للدهون، تمتلك إمكانات كبيرة في النشاطات البيولوجية ضمن السمية الخلوية والمضاد للالتهاب والمضاد لمرض الزهايمر والمضاد للسكري والتأثيرات الأخرى[2]. Morusin كمرشح لمنظّمات مخاطية فعّالة جديدة لأمراض الرئة الالتهابية[3].
في المختبر، علاج خلايا PC3 بmorusin (0-10μM) لمدة 48 ساعة ثبط بشكل ملحوظ بقاء الخلية في اختبار معتمد على الوقت والتركيز وخفض المستويات من السيتوكينات الالتهابية[4]. في خلايا NCI-H292 المحروم من المصل ل24 ساعة، إعطاء morusin (1-100μM) ل30 دقيقة ثبط بشكل ملحوظ الإنتاج من mucin 5AC (MUC5AC)، مما يحكم استجابة الرئة الالتهابية الناتجة عن إفرازات مخاطية مفرطة[3]. في خطوط خلية السرطان(MKN45 and SGC7901) المعالجة بmoracin (1-5mg/L) ل72 ساعة، moracin ثبط بشكل فعال نمو خلية سرطان وتكاثرها في اختبار معتمد على الجرعة [5].
