Copeptin (human)

Copeptin (human)は、主に視床下部の副腎神経細胞と視上核で生成される39アミノ酸からなるペプチドである。

Copeptinは、輸送中にバソプレッシンの折りたたみを支援するかもしれない。バソプレッシンは腎臓に直接的な抗利尿作用を持ち、また末梢血管の収縮を引き起こす。Copeptinは臨床検査でバソプレッシンの代用として使用されることがある。

体内では、全身性アナフィラキシスの解析では、モデル群（Compound 48/80）の体温が対照群よりも著しく低いことが示された。Compound 48/80は、血清中のヒスタミン、TNF-α、およびIL-8の濃度を増加させた。Compound 48/80によるマスト細胞の脱顆粒は、PTZ誘発のてんかん発作に対する抗けいれん効果を示し、ミオクロニックジャークおよび全般性痙攣性発作の発作開始時間を延長し、全般性痙攣性発作の持続時間を短縮した。
