Ryanodine은 세포 투과성 Ryanodine 수용체 조절제이다. Ryanodine은 농도 의존적으로 Ryanodine 매개의 Ca²⁺ 방출을 자극하지만 억제할 수 있다. Ryanodine은Ryania speciosa에 발견되는 유독한 디테르펜이다.
Ryanodine (100-5000 nM, 30-120분)은 빠른 근육과 느린 근육의 떨림과 강직성 긴장을 농도 의존적으로 불가역적으로 감소시킨다[1]. 250 nM 이상의 농도에서 Ryanodine은 5 mM Co²⁺로 차단할 수 없는 서서히 진행되고 농도 의존적으로 달라지는 수축을 유발한다[1].
