Baxdrostat은 신규 경구 활성 알도스테론 합성효소 (CYP11B2) 억제제이다. Baxdrostat은 알도스테론 합성효소를 고선택적으로 억제해서 알도스테론 생성을 감소시키고 혈압을 낮춘다[1-2]. Baxdrostat은 난치성 고혈압 및 원발성 알도스테론증 관련 연구에 사용될 수 있다[3-4].
