It upregulates the expression of PLIN2, TPD52L2, and SEC13, which are involved in the formation of lipid droplets, and downregulates a variety of genes involved in general cellular processes in Caco-2 cells. 10,13-epoxy-10,12-Octadecadienoic acid is cytotoxic to Caco-2 and HepG2 cells when used concentrations greater than or equal to 100 µM.
